Bond durability depends on adhesion (surface adherence) and cohesion (adhesive layer durability). Epoxy-based compounds possess high adhesive and cohesive characteristics. High adhesion is not needed when it comes to silicone gasket makers and removable threadlockers.
Low-viscosity and gel adhesives are ideal for vertical and porous surfaces. Use low-viscosity adhesives to penetrate narrow space. For flexible objects (rubber etc) use an adhesive that does not lose elasticity upon drying.
